Vintage Chinese Porcelain Ceramic Ginger Jar Hand Painted With Birds and Flowers & Metallic Gold Glaze. 30cm in height (with lid). Hand painted vintage Chinese porcelain ginger jar with a scene of birds and flowers with vignettes both on the front and back of the jar, circa Mid 20th Century. Family Rose blues and Imari designs. There is a heavy textured geometric blue and burgundy glaze on the sides with metallic gold detailing, some paint in heavy moriage. Lid measures 10cm diameter, the gold is slightly worn off on the tip with age. No chips or cracks. Heavy, medium parcel weighing in excess of 2kgs.

It has some crazing and one hairline crack to the base, some imperfections in the glaze. The opening measures 4 3/4 in diameter. The jar is unmarked. A large antique porcelain famille verte vase decorated with birds and flowers. The vase is made in China and dates from the 19th century (Qing Dynasty). Dimensions: Height: 59,6cm Diameter mouth: 21cm Diameter bottom: 19,6cm Condition: The vase is in a very good condition. The bottom has been overpainted, probably because there are some baking cracks underneath that are created during the baking process. No (other) damages or restorations found (UV checked). Every item we sell has been carefully checked for any damages and restorations. We make use of UV light to check this properly.
