Large Chinese Vase

This is a vintage Art Deco ginger jar. A Chinese, ceramic decorative spice pot, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940. Qianlong mark to base. Stand not included in the sale used for photography purposes only. Millefois pattern, 11.5 inches tall, a statement piece. Pleasingly colourful and of attractive bulbous form Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Cobalt blue ground plays host to a colourful palette Profusely detailed with enamelled foliate scenes Small domed lid sits neatly atop the jar. This is a charming vintage ginger jar, from the late Oriental Art Deco period. Graced with vibrant colour and appealing foliate decor. Ready to display and admire.

A large ceramic egg shaped ornament with chinese scenes. Background colour is a very subtle bluish white with the main decoration in darker blue. The glazing is incredibly smooth to the touch. The scene depicts chinese people, typical chinese houses or Siheyuan and mountain/willow type trees. The egg comes complete with a wooden stand. Height of the egg including the stand is 240mm. The circumfrence at the widest point is some 500mm and the item as a whole weighs 1225g.

A very decorative antique Chinese porcelain vase. Featuring hand painted Prunus and butterfly decoration on a bronze coloured background, with rams head applique decoration. The vase has old staple repairs to the foot, please see photos.

A nice quality vase that at some time in its life has been converted to a table lamp. As you can see the wire has been cut. It would be easy to completely remove the wiring and return it to its original state as a very attractive stand alone large vase on its carved wooden base, or it could be rewired and used as a table lamp. Either way its a very decorative piece. It stands at about 45cm tall and is heavy.
