Large Superb 19thC Antique Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vase! This outstanding antique Chinese famille rose vase has a nice form with openwork figural handles on either side of the neck. It is decorated with a colorful enamel painted scene around the middle of animals and trees and flowers. It has exceptional detail to the artwork. There are also under and over glaze patterns around the bottom, shoulder, neck and top. It dates from the 19th Century and measures approximately 15 + ½ inches tall by approximately 9 inches across the shoulder and 6 + ½ inches across the foot rim. It is in excellent condition with the exception that the bottom piece of one of the handles has been re-attached, as can be seen in the photos. WE USE DAYLIGHT BULBS WHEN PHOTOGRAPHING. Please view daylight pictures and judge. In our opinion : This vase is a Qing piece. It has been converted to a lamp but the base not drilled. Top is fixed in place and we ahve not attempted to remove. Other examples of this type of ware are known and documented. This one has the finest detail. Decorated with all manner of different scenes – famille rose. Large vase / jar as shown in the photos. The lamp is approx. 20 inches / 510mm tall , the vase 14 inches and 7 inches in diameter. Overall in the condition shown – expected age wear. It has been checked but if the intention is to use as lamp , we would strongly advise re-checking for safety. Please check our other items. Here is a beautiful and large pair of antique Chinese GE crackle vases with applied dragons chasing a pearl and cranes on the reverse. They each measure 17 3/4″ tall by 8″ wide at it’s widest point. They are in excellent condition with the left example being undamaged and the right example having just a four very minor flakes/chips. They are slightly different from each other with the right example showing more pronounced crackle and a slightly different mouth edge and base mark. They date to the 19thC and come from a high end collection in Buffalo, NY. It will be packaged with many layers including memory foam, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts. Here is a very nice antique Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vase. The main body of vase is a very pale celadon color. It is in great condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs. It only has a light line on bottom. I’m not sure if it is in glaze or a small hairline. It does not go up the side any on either side. Pretty minor but need to mention it. Also a hole drilled in bottom, it was once made into a lamp. The vase measures 16″ high x 9 3/4″ diameter. GREAT OLD CHINESE VASE!!
