Large Chinese Vase

Please note that items. For sale here is this extremely rare, antique Chinese porcelain oil lamp (fluid lamp/kerosene lamp), dating from the 19th century. The lamp has a removable font and a brass duplex burner with wick. The porcelain is beautifully painted with a Rose Mandarin pattern in a Famille Rose palette. The reserved panels are painted with scenes of court life on a ground decorated with scrolls, flowers, butterflies and birds. PLEASE READ THE CONDITION REPORT. This superb export porcelain piece measures approximately 12 inches high (not including the burner) and 6 1/4 inches in diameter at the base. The top half of the base has been broken at some point and has old restoration (it was possibly in three or four pieces, but I think it is all original). The font has no damage. The English-made Sherwood’s duplex burner is included in the sale; it has not been attached to the font. Please examine all photos for details, as they form part of the description. All items are secur. Items sent by courier to remote areas my incur a surcharge. I use large bubble and strong boxes to pack. Couriered packages of ceramics/glass/ antiques/ clocks cannot at present be insured for damage. Brightly enameled with pink-ground lobed panels containing green-and-red phoenixes surrounded by peonies. The panels are reversed on a rich. Ground of more beautiful red peony flowers and branches. The neck is molded with a pair of lions (fu-dogs) and the shoulder molded with two pairs of chilong dragons. The base border is decorated with encircling lotus lappers.
