Large Vintage Chinese Cloisonne Flower Vase 15. This is a large vintage Chinese Cloisonne vase with yellow red blue and pink flowers. The vase also has a bird design with white cloud design background. The vase measures 15″ high by 8″ wide. Good condition lid a little misshapen no damage to cloisonne enamel. Antique (very old) large and heavy oriental vase in stoneware/porcelain/pottery. Beautifully decorated continuously around the bowl from top to bottom and was originally made to hold long stems in water, which the vase would have sat in a tray filled with water and the hole in the base, allowed the flowers to suck up the water. There is a slightly worn calcified rim to the bottom which shows evidence of this. When you run your hand over, you can feel the slightly raised and engraved texture to the pattern and is hand drawn and painted/enamelled, beautifully done and pleasing to look at…. Suiting a period setting. Pattern, I would call “tree of life” with flowers and leaves but no animals, seals or figures. The vase has a dull higher pitched sound when tapped and the ground appears very pale matte grey/natural, with the pattern glaze catching the light here and there. The top rim is plain and the underside base is signed with a simple mark in brown with a further tiny brown dot see photo and also a matching dot in the top inside rim see photo. From my research I did find a very similar mark for “Bristol – Imitation Oriental 1894″ see pic however, I feel that the mark is very slightly different, so I cannot say for sure whether the Orient or Bristol but I will leave that to you to decide. Measures 36cm high x 11cm top rim diameter x 12cm wide base and weighs 1.8kg unpacked, so will be over 2kg boxed. In good condition with no chips cracks or nibbles and the glaze has not crazed or discoloured… The inside is a bit dusty/grubby… And it remains untouched and not restored. Great colour and eye-catching gilt decor in the Chinoiserie manner. Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Rich crimson hues to the waxed paper, showing minimal signs of ageing. Decorative river scenes adorn the wide drum form, with black and gold finish. Removing the lid shows a charming lined interior. Vase is made of high-quality porcelain and features stunning hand-painted floral designs in multi-color and chinese Calligraphy poem on the other side of vase. Condition: Very tight crack to body on one side of body by the handle. See base for star tight crack.

A beautiful large Chinese blue and white vase featuring a long neck and double happiness symbols across its body among blue twisted lotus and scrolling vines beautifully painted against white porcelain.

Unmarked on the base, Kangxi Period (1662 – 1722). Decorated to the centre with a basket of flowers, the moulded round rim with a band of lappets enclosing fruit and flowers, the reverse with two floral sprays.

Ancient OLD Large Chinese Blue & White ginger jar Flower Scenery 8 1/2 Tall. Has small chips on rim! Otherwise old and has imperfections due to age!
