Is a glossy, rich, blue glaze with streaks of various patterns and categorized three models among top, body and base. It is amazing technique for its distinct glaze mix and fire control in the kiln. The effect is produced by a method of firing that incorporates. A method first discovered by the Chinese of the Ming dynasty. Under side of the vase is Qing Kangxi reign. Measures approximately 15¼” tall, 8¾”between the widest points, 5″ diameter opening at the top, 5½” diameter at the base, and with weight of 6 lb. Your understanding is much appreciated. As fragile item, I have carefully packed it that wrapped by bubble sheets and surrounded with packing peanuts or styrofoam in the brand new box. This piece is from a Private Collection from California of a Chinese Large Flambe Jun Glazed Vase & Garlic Head and Bambo Neck & early 19th Century. This is absulutly gorgeous and this is covered overall in a brilliant Flambe glaze, of deep reddish – purple tone & mottled with milky rich blue. To the body and collar has also some lavender run in it & at collar opening. This piece also has (3) Bambo ribbing from the waist to the neck, and collar in porcelain. The footed base is in Candy apple Red to base and a crackled finish with a thick base, this is thick porcelain thru – out Vase. At the opening you can see Blue and Red at rim, and inside you can see glaze & can see the ripples from being hand thrown. This is 13 3/4 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches across the widest points of Globular Body, the opening is 2 inches across and the base is 4 1/2 inches across & weighs 9 1/2 to 10lbs.
