Large 17.5 Chinese Qing Blue and White Ginger Jar with Cover Chenghua Mark. DESCRIPTION: A Nicely Decorated, Large Blue and White Chinese Ginger Jar with Good Color. Painted on 4 sides with Double Happiness Symbols surrounded by Vines and Flowers. Probably early 19th Century Qing. It is Marked with an Apocryphal 4-Character Painted Chenghua mark. SIZE: 17-3/8″ Tall x 10″ Diameter (44.1 x 25.4 cm). The base is 8-3/4 in Diameter. CONDITION: Very Good Antique Condition. There are three small chips on the underside of the lid where it fits into the jar as shown. Otherwise only age appropriate wear and NO other chips, cracks or repairs.
