Large Chinese Vase

Offered here is a late 19th to early 20th Century Chinese intricately hand carved soapstone Vase. The colors are a rich red brown and black marbled color. This vase is delicately hand carved with a floral pattern and it also has an incised design on the body of the vase. There is a lot of open work and 3 dimensional carving on this gorgeous vase. The workmanship is excellent. The vase stands 9″ in height by 5″ wide and 4 deep. It weighs a hefty 5 pounds before packing. It is signed on the back China. Please view and enlarge all photos to see the fine carving. I see no cracks, chips or flaws. The vase needs a good dusting. Superb Large Antique Chinese Jin / Yuan Splashed Brown Black Temmoku Cizhou Jar. Fine potted large buff stoneware jar or bottle with iron black glaze and splashed decoration. Splashed iron red / russet flower sprays. Date 12/13thC Jin to Yuan dynasty, of Cizhou type kiln site. Condition Report: Measures approx. 20.3 cm (8″) at widest and 22.5 cm (8 7/8″) high.
