A Rare and Large Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Lidded Jug with Wooden Stand. Measurements: Height 16 ½ inches (42 cm) without stand, 33 (56 cm) with stand. Condition: Good, the lid has old breaks and losses and was repaired with the pewter binding around the mouth trim. Minor nics and chips and losses to the trim edges but presents well overall. Beautifully decorated Chinese Porcelain vase. The style of decoration would suggest 18th Century but this vase dates from the Kangxi revival period in the 19th Century. The vase depicts a family relaxing in a garden setting. Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue. Freely painted with a good sense of design and space. Lovely depiction of a butterfly on the rear of the vase. Double ring mark to the base.
