Excellent colour accentuates the crisp white ground. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Quality ceramic presents a pleasingly globular form. Distinctive’Kalocsai hímzés’ foliate pattern a treat of rich colours. Inspired by local tapestries, the bouquets of forget-me-nots and carnations are a staple. Circular bands of polished gilt paint adorn the rim and foot. Maker’s mark to base reads’Kalosca Hungary, Handpainted.
