Chinese Polychrome Large Porcelain Vase with a deep red Sang de boeuf glaze (ox blood red). According to one scholar: “In its finer examples, this spectacular glaze gives the impression that one is gazing through a limpid surface layer, which is slightly crazed and strewn with countless bubbles, to the color that lies underneath”. Beautiful example produced mid 20th century which features a central Chinese motif, approx 34cm tall and 25cm in diameter at widest point.
