This Monumental Lidded Rooster Urn combines beautiful and highly detailed Chinese cloisonné enamel work with superb chaser work in the Ormolu (gilt bronze) figural handles, finely detailed in the form of the rooster’s wings. The rich burgundy urn body is decorated throughout with multicolored enamel floral design. The large Urn is topped by a highly detailed Rooster Head figural lid. Truly an oversized magnificent Museum Piece of Chinese Export Enamel from the early 20th Century. Ates from the early Republic period. Measures: 52 cm high including wooden base.
