Fine large antique Chinese porcelain vase in classic Chinese form with flared mouth and deep red oxblood glaze. This vase is very large at 14 7/8″ high and about 7 1/4″ wide at widest. It is quite heavy at over 8 pounds and sits straight and stable on table surface. The thick red oxblood glaze is exceptionally deep and exceptionally beautiful. The mouth, interior and bottom are a light aqua color. Very nice condition except for the two chips at rim. One of those chips has very little porcelain or glaze loss but that chip shows cracks at the top of rim and below rim both. I’m not sure if that chip was glued or not. There is overall crazing to this vase and dark crazing to interior, mouth and bottom. That crazing is the size and pattern you see at the aqua top and bottom. There are a few very small shallow scratches to red blaze. Base has roughness around red glaze which is typical with oxblood. Not sure how old this vase is but dates to at least the 19th century and perhaps earlier. Questions always welcome and thanks for looking.
