Pair of extra large extremely heavy blue & white vintage Chinese porcelain vases, in a lovely and quite elegant, rare elongated shape. Each of these imposing vases is decorated all around with beautiful scenes depicting a large Chinese castle surrounded by trees, mountains and waterways. And classical motifs to the neck and base. They are extremely decorative and will surely be the focal point of any room! The vases are both in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or restorations. Please see photos for details of condition. They are quite tall measuring each approx. 51cm (20 inches) high by 19cm (7.5 inches) diameter. AMAZING X-LARGE OLD CHINESE PORCELAIN LANDSCAPE PAINTING ON TILE SIGNED NR! A VERY LARGE old Chinese porcelain tile finely painted in multi-color enamels depicting Buddhist temples in a mountainous landscape with numerous figures of monks on the temple verandas , riders on horseback , another crossing a bridge in a horse cart. There is so much detail in this painting that one could spend hours examining all the intricacies of the artist’s masterful work. It is signed with two red seal marks and other calligraphy characters as shown in the photos below. The tile is mounted in a wooden frame with a carved parcel gilt panel showing a woman and a horse rider. The frame has some minor losses to the relief decoration, otherwise in good condition. The porcelain plaque has no chips, cracks, repairs or enamel loss. Overall dimensions: 90 cm x 39 cm / 35 1/2″ in x 15 1/3″ , the plaque – 55 cm x 31 cm / 21 1/2″ x 12 1/4″. Weight 5.1 kg.
