Large Chinese Vase

Please note: I have tried to add a new image because in the current photos the body of the vase looks far too blue created I think by the white adjustment in the camera. I have added an new image which is much closer to the true colour which is more a slightly off white than the cyan white shown in the other photos. A truly magnificent large Kangxi vase Antique Chinese vase with entwinned Dragon chasing the sacred Pearl amongst stylised flames. The vase is marked with the Chinese Reign mark of Qing Dynasty, Kangxi reign (1654 -1722) character on the base of the vase. The vase is very much in style, depth of colour and decoration the same as other similar vases even down to the white, smooth and dense porcelain of the base of the vase and the iron oxidization on the base of the vase where the unglazed porcelain is in contact with the glaze. Qing period but difficult to date exactly. The detail of the decoration is extremely fine. I originally wondered if this could be an early Japanese Kutani vase but the tone of the iron red decoration is definitely Chinese not Japanese. What you do have is an amazingly decorated Antique Chinese Porcelain vase of beautiful proportions and of the highest quality. This is a substantial vase.
