The design is a rich cobalt blue against a background of lighter bluish/green not pure white as most Chinese pottery depicts. This pattern is known as Victoria Ware and was made in China honoring the old 19th century Staffordshire pottery. There are no signs of chips, cracks or crazing. In excellent vintage condition.
