A stunning and very large and heavy Chinese Double Gourd with base colour black and highly and vividly decorated in in red and gold with displays of red and gold flowers and birds. This is a truly stunning piece and thought to date to the early 1980′s. The design is very striking and would fit beautifully in any traditional or contemporary home. The gourd measures 48 cm in height x 28 cm in diameter. There are no cracks (hairline or otherwise) and no chips or restoration. There are scratches to the paintwork as shown but these are minimal and are commensurate with general wear and tear as would be expected of a vintage piece.
