Large Antique Chinese Lidded Vase Cherry Blossom Bird Butterfly. Believed to be late 19th Century or early 20th Century. Large substantial size suitable for a large property or museum. Beautiful Large hand painted Chinese ginger jar with a spare lid as I unfortunately broke the base of the other one. Bird and butterfly attending cherry blossom. Decorated in blues, pinks, yellow flowers with green leaves upon brown branches. Measures approx: 15 inches tall by 8 inches diameter by 6.75 inches diameter across the base. I have for sale a Chinese Famille Rose covered porcelain ginger jar. It has three colorful, hand painted butterflies along with flowers on vines. There are also repeating patterns at the top and bottom. Approximate dimensions are: 9″ wide, 8″ tall. About 9.5 tall with lid. This is a finely crafted, high quality bowl. FOR SALE A VERY UNIQUE CHINESE PORCELAIN VASE POSSIBLY KANGXI, WITH EXTRA HEAVY FAMILLE ROSE PINK COLOR. VIVID DEPICTIONS OF FLOWERS AND BUTTERFLIES DECORATE IT’S ENTIRE OUTER BODY. WE ESTIMATE ITS ERA OF PRODUCTION TO BE 18TH/19TH CENTURY, THIS IS A ESTIMATE BASED OFF OF THE MANY ATTRIBUTES OF THE VASE. THE BOTTOM HAS A CENTER CRATER THIS IS ALSO SEEN ON MANY LATER KANGXI PERIOD PIECES. THE BOTTOM CENTER IS GLAZED WITH A BIT OF OVER GLAZE, ALL TRACES OF ORIGINAL METHOD USED IN THIS PIECE’S MAKING. LOOKING INTO THE CENTER USING THE TOP PHOTO DEPICTION CAN BE SEEN A BLUE MARK THIS MARK WE HAVE SEEN SIMILAR FORMATION IN SYMBOL USED ON THE OUTER EXTERIOR AS DECORATION FOR A FEW HIGH END KANGXI PIECE’S. USE IN SO MUCH FAMILLE ROSE HAS CAUSED THE DEPICTIONS TO LITERALLY RISE FROM THE SIDES OF THE VASE THIS USE IN AMOUNT IS VERY UNIQUE. THERE ARE EVEN SOME AREA’S IN WHICH HEAVY SWIPES OF RED HAVE BEEN PLACE SEEMINGLY PERFECTLY AROUND THE VASE. THE ALMOST GATE LIKE BAND LOWER IS FOUND ON MANY IMPERIAL FAMILLE ROSE VASES OF THE KANGXI PERIOD. WE DID SLIGHTLY DUST THIS PIECE HOWEVER IT WILL NEED TO BE DUSTED ONCE MORE BY YOU AS IT’S NEW OWNER, WE LIGHTLY CLEAN TO PREVENT DAMAGE. HEAVY LUSH PLUSH PINK ONE OF THE TRUE COLOR’S OF FAMILLE ROSE IS IT’S OVERTONE THIS VASE IS OUTSTANDING.
