This is a most imposing, exceptionally large ginger jar by the renowned makers Samson of Paris, circa 1900. The jar has a striking central armorial crest, hand painted with lion and unicorn surrounded by floral decoration. The body of the jar is further decorated with beautiful floral cartouche bordered by hand applied raised scroll designs. The piece is in perfect condition with no damage or restoration.
