Chinese Vase Cloisonné Enamel Large Gu Shape. For your consideration is an early and very unique large cloisonné enamel vase. Turquoise blue and green backgrounds with amazingly detailed patterned and floral decorations with hues of pink, red, yellow, cobalt blue and white. Made of thin copper sheet with copper wire. Gu form, wide everted rim over slender neck, well enameled top interior, raised on a domed circular foot. Very impressive, indeed, considering its age. Circa turn of the 18th century, late 1700′s early 1800′s. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE FOR MORE PHOTOS! 19″ tall x 8.25″ top diameter x 6.75 base diameter. Weighs about 3 lbs. Condition: Very Good overall. Unobtrusive old restorations of minor enamel loses towards the bottom of the middle part, where it meets the applied, raised foot; shallow dent on the neck, altogether commensurate with the great age.
