Vintage to Antique Large Green Nephrite Jade Or Soap Stone Vase. I think the stone is green nephrite jade or Soapstone but not completely sure. Approximately 7″ Tall x 6″ Wide. It’s very cold to the touch, feels significantly colder than air temp. I updated the listing to include the possibility it could be soapstone. It has a very waxy feel. It is definitely stone of some kind but I’m not an expert and can not say for sure what kind of stone. The white marks are scratches / abrasions. I rubbed some with my finger for a minute & they moderately with finger “polishing”. When held to the light & viewed through the opening I can see light through the sides all the way around & slightly through the bottom. Shows some signs of age / use / wear. Item has a few small white abrasion marks. The stone shows inclusion lines. Possibly could have cracked and been repaired but if that was the case it was very well done, more likely the lines are natural in the stone. The stone is cut fairly thin and is semi translucent. Has a waxy luster. Overall Good to Very Good condition. Please see photos to see item in detail.
