Up for sale is a large antique Chinese famille rose globular form vase. Finely and brightly enamelled with two shaped cartouches enclosing a dragon and a phoenix, reserved on an yellow ground with bats, peach sprays and Shou medallions. Each side with dragon handles and bottom with six character Qianlong seal mark. Very clean and enamelling. Also rich and sharp. Found an exact vase (mirror image vase) was offered at Bonhams London in 2008, please see images. 21 3/4″ (51 1/2 cm) high X 44 1/2″ (113 cm) circumference. It is in very good condition except one handle has a crack and glue enhanced at some point. A small chip to the mouthrim and flakes to enamel to handles. Usual wear on surface and enamel consistent with age. Ohio residents will be taxed at 7.25%. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “GIFTS”.
