(1) Presence of Wide Mouth (Specially made and export to Persian countries or Turkey) and Pale underglazed Cobalt Blue in Shadow of Yuan period (Early stage of underglazed blue which is unstable with shadows). Stoney RED’ over unglazed area, like base and interior etc. Decorated by 100% Hand-painted Underglazed 3-Claws Dragon along the main and other motifs, scrolls from neck to bottom. 16.9″ x 10 ” (43 cm x 25.5 cm). In excellent display conditions, with no cracks, no chips and no damage apart from tiny base rim chips due to age wearing. This is a large Chinese Yuan dynasty Longquan kiln bowl from a Japanese temple. It has beautiful glaze color and neat shape. A Large RARE 12 Chinese Yuan/Ming Underglazed Red Suzaku Blossom Scrolls Temple Jar with Wavy Lid. Suzaku = Ancient Phoenix which represent the South. Underglazed red is very scarely seen and produced in old days because the range of successful formation of red iron underglazed only confined to 20C. (where overheated will turned into white colour and underheated remain its black grey colour). Presence of abundant’SOMALI’ Red (Photo 7, 8 and 9) seen everywhere among the underglazed red indicating its period of production around late Yuan or early Ming. The temple jar mainly decorated by 100% Hand-painted Underglazed Red Large blossoms with scrolls and a band of Underglazed motifs around the bottom. It has a high and coarse unglazed foot rim and base (Photo 7 and 12), and a large plum finial wavy lid with 2 Suzaku and foliage scroll (Photo 6 and 7).
