A pair of large, Meiping form Chinese Fuzhou lacquer vases and stands, early 20th Century. Condition: One vase has a chip to the rim which has been repaired/ glued and it has light vertical cracks in the lacquer: the other vase has an open vertical crack from top to bottom, but it is still sturdy. A leg of one stand has been repaired and also has a chip on the tip of a’branch’. The vases are a true’mirror’ pair and are decorated with 5 toed silver dragons chasing the flaming pearl. Including the stand they measure approximately 40cm tall. The vase without the stand measures 33cm x 8.5cm base diameter and at the widest they are approximately 14cm. The stands are of naturalistic form and measure 7cm from foot to base and 18cm to the tip of the’branches’. A leg of each vase slides out to enable access to the vase. Without stands, one vase weighs 324g and the other, slightly less, weighs 309g. Large chinese mirror pair of cinnabar vases 10 tall. Measures: Approximately 10″ tall without bases, 5″ wide. These vases featured a glided rim, blue enamel interior, and ornate hand carved floral and foliate motifs, fret key details, and mountain scenes throughout the baluster body. Overall in good condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Please see pictures carefully as they are part of description. 2x Vintage Chinese hand painted Dragon and Phoenix vases, not signed, some gilded writing at the neck. I believe they are made in China for export in 1950′s. The vases are free hand painted, one side with a marching Dragon and Phoenix, the other side with big Peonies the neck and the base ornament is painted over transfer. Please browse the pictures. Measures:hight 37,5cm and 37cm, diameter on the rim 11,8cm, underneath 9,7cm. Condition: very good, very good, some variations in gilding on the neck, no damage neither restoration.
