I have for sale an Andrew Martin silver Ceramic Large Ginger Jar. This fabulous piece of bang on trend interior design really is stunning. The lid is ceramic and the body is some type of alloy. This listing is for 1 jar and I have another 1 available in this sizes on a separate listing and also the large sized ones in black and silver on other listings. This magnificent giant ginger jar measures a whopping 90cm tall and 40cm diameter and is made from ceramic. It is black in colour and has a thick glaze to it. It is free from cracks and all good strong and solid, it is used so there will be marks on it so please do not expect it to be perfect but to be honest you are distracted to any marks as the piece is so big and imposing. Please be aware that this is a used item and as such is in used condition, peoples perception of used condition can vary and I would suggest if you are unsure come and view the item. If you are expecting unused or immaculate then a used item is probably not for you.
A pair of large, Meiping form Chinese Fuzhou lacquer vases and stands, early 20th Century. Condition: One vase has a chip to the rim which has been repaired/ glued and it has light vertical cracks in the lacquer: the other vase has an open vertical crack from top to bottom, but it is still sturdy. A leg of one stand has been repaired and also has a chip on the tip of a’branch’. The vases are a true’mirror’ pair and are decorated with 5 toed silver dragons chasing the flaming pearl. Including the stand they measure approximately 40cm tall. The vase without the stand measures 33cm x 8.5cm base diameter and at the widest they are approximately 14cm. The stands are of naturalistic form and measure 7cm from foot to base and 18cm to the tip of the’branches’. A leg of each vase slides out to enable access to the vase. Without stands, one vase weighs 324g and the other, slightly less, weighs 309g. I have for sale a stunning Chinese solid silver rare clock model of a dragon and vase The craftsmanship and detail is superb with beautiful enamel decoration and superb quality jade set into the clock and on top of lid , I have seen a few Chinese silver items in this style but never such a exquisite piece in this form.
