Large Chinese Vase

Estate find gorgeous antique porcelain basin planter with classic hand painted scroll floral pattern, brass claw foot and handles, very rare and highly collectible, 16″ long with handles, 7.5″ high, 4.75 wide on top rim, in excellent vintage condition with no damage, please view the photos for details, sale as is.

This beautiful chinoiserie pottery with described uses as a basin, foot bath or jardinère planter, is quite heavy and measures an impressive 19″ long, 12.5″ wide and 8.25 tall. The ideas for use in your home are many. Made of solid and durable ironstone, this large oval planter features a European style landscape transferware design both inside and out. The design is a rich cobalt blue against a background of lighter bluish/green not pure white as most Chinese pottery depicts. This pattern is known as Victoria Ware and was made in China honoring the old 19th century Staffordshire pottery. There are no signs of chips, cracks or crazing. In excellent vintage condition.

Item condition: Good condition. Small firing crack out of the rim. Condition is appropriate for age and use. See photos for complete assessment. Height: 7.08 inches / 18 centimeters. Width: 8.66 inches / 22 centimeters. Depth: 11.81 inches / 30 centimeters.

Vintage Chinese Dragon Earthenware Glazed Large Planter Brown & Gold. This is a very large planter. It is 12.5” across the top by 9.5” tall by 8” at the base. It weighs 11 lb 2 oz. The dragon figure is embossed and fired in a gold color. There are some small chips on the rim, see photo #8. I’ve had this in storage for over 30 years. It’s time to let it go.
