CHINESE PORCELAIN 18th CENTURY LARGE OVOID CRACKLE VASE

CHINESE PORCELAIN 18th CENTURY LARGE OVOID CRACKLE VASE. DARK GREY & RUSSET BROWN CRACKLES THROUGHOUT A MAIN BODY GREY GLAZE. THE DECORATION BUILDING FROM TIGHT CRACKLES AT THE BASE WITH A LARGER SPREAD FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE VASE UPWARDS. BASE HAS LOVELY POOL OF GLAZE WITH THE RIM LEFT UNGLAZED TO REVEAL THE BURNT ORANGE FROM THE KILN. BASE RIM IS DETAILED SO WELL TO REVEAL THE THICK GLAZE EVENLY AROUND IT. INTERNALLY THE RIM HAS CRACKLE GLAZE REST OF THE INSIDE IS GLAZED. ONLY A FEW POCK MARKS TO THIS BEAUTIFUL GLAZE & WHEN OBSERVED CLOSELY THE GLAZE REVEALS BLACK KILN SPOTS WITHIN THE GLAZE. HAS A TIGHT CRACK AT THE RIM WHICH RUNS DOWN TO THE FIRING CRACK WHICH RUNS HORIZONTALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VASE. STANDS 10.75 tall.
