Large Chinese Vase

The vases are circa 1840-50 and from the Canton region. The second (Right side) lamp has had a very small restoration in one area to the top rim but is under the light fittings and anyway almost invisible.

Antique LARGE Chinese BRONZE Vase mounted as LAMP Phoenix Birds CHINA Asian. Offering an antique Chinese Bronze/Brass Vase mounted as Lamp. Stylized Phoenix Birds as Handles. Decorated with Birds in sculptural high relief. Measurements– 34 1/2 to top of finial. 10 1/2 from handle to handle. Please note there are two chain pulls and another switch at base of lamp, to turn lamp on and off. As with all vintage lighting we recommend checking and updating as necessary. Vase in very good antique condition. Wear commensurate with age and use. Some patination to metal. We have included an image of the top “cover” of vase, added when converted to lamp. This is a nice antique Chinese Ming Dynasty celadon glazed porcelain vase capped with a rosewood cap. It has an old Chistie’s label and Ming dates taped on it. It sits on a base and is mounted as the center piece of a lamp. In pretty nice shape as the pics show for it’s age but it is aged cracked underneath though still structurally sound and it has crazing and some minor wear throughout and it comes exactly as shown. The top of the vase had been cut down and capped. The vase measures 17″ tall, 7 1/2″ at the widest point and is 5 1/4″ in diameter at the base and the lamp is 35″ tall.
