A Large Black Porcelain Floral Motif Flared Vase, China, c. This Vase would look exceptional while staged in an array of interior styles. The black porcelain makes for the perfect contrast piece and is accompanied by a painted floral motif upon the front size. The motif is unglazed and has a lovely texture. The underside of the Vase is unsigned or marked. Condition: This Vase is in great condition without any cracks or chips shown. Mild surface scratches and discoloration is shown from age. Large Pair of Chinese Cloisonné Copper Vase Hex Shaped, Flared Rims – 19th or 20th c. Category: Pair of cloisonn. Vases Age: 19th or 20th c. Top & Foot Rims: Incised Greek key pattern (Chinese meander). Shape: Tiered hexagon with flared rims & elongated necks. Color: Blue, yellow, red, green, pink and turquoise colored enamels. Design: Archaic floral motif. Green patina (spots/lines) inside each vase and in the interior sections of the key-pattern rims – see photos. Vase A: One of the six edges of the foot rim is bent inward slightly. The affected area is about 1 – see photo. Vase A is not perfectly symmetrical and does not stand absolutely flat on the foot rim. Vase B: One of the six incised edges of the top rim is worn at one corner, masking that edge of the key pattern. Both vases: Some enamel pitting consistent with age. 23.75″ (tall) x 9.25″ (bottom rim width – corner to corner) x 7.625(top rim width – corner to corner). Weight of the pair: 20.3 lb.
