A very fine, Antique Chinese Archaistic style bowl with Taotie Masks or faces. Blue with red and green enamels. The body of bowl is riveted and dovetailed Copper with a raised base. Hand bent and soldered gilt copper wires. Age is unknown, 19th C or earlier. Good condition for the age. No major dents or areas of enamel losses. Does of course have some small areas of wear and small dents and bends from use and age. Some small areas of enamel chips or small cracks. Some very heavy areas of gilt loss especially to interior of bowl. Measures about 9 inches tall x 13 inches in diameter without handles.
