This amazing vase was one of my late mother’s valuable oriental collection. It stands about 14 inches tall, and is very heavy. It looks like a couple of small chips have been repaired, with gold or gilding as they did in the ancient days in china, with items they treasured, but the chip or crack does not go through to the inside. The design is a pair of dragons fighting. It is a crackle glaze and has an engraved bronze ring round the base and neck. It is a stunning piece that i partly don’t want to let go of. It is marked on the base, with the ming chenghua seal, as anybody can see it is original as it speaks for itself.
