Here we have a large stunning Chinese antique porcelain lidded jar. Melon shaped jar with relief decoration of fruit & vines with butterflies on a pink ground. Inside the lid and on the base is a turquoise enamel and also bearing a Qianlong mark. Possibly Qianlong mark and period. 43 cm’s tall or close to 17 inches and quite heavy. There is a large crack that runs from halfway down one side to across the base , but does not continue up the other side of the jar and does not affect the structure and is still a solid piece.
