AMAZING X-LARGE OLD CHINESE PORCELAIN LANDSCAPE PAINTING ON TILE SIGNED NR! A VERY LARGE old Chinese porcelain tile finely painted in multi-color enamels depicting Buddhist temples in a mountainous landscape with numerous figures of monks on the temple verandas , riders on horseback , another crossing a bridge in a horse cart. There is so much detail in this painting that one could spend hours examining all the intricacies of the artist’s masterful work. It is signed with two red seal marks and other calligraphy characters as shown in the photos below. The tile is mounted in a wooden frame with a carved parcel gilt panel showing a woman and a horse rider. The frame has some minor losses to the relief decoration, otherwise in good condition. The porcelain plaque has no chips, cracks, repairs or enamel loss. Overall dimensions: 90 cm x 39 cm / 35 1/2″ in x 15 1/3″ , the plaque – 55 cm x 31 cm / 21 1/2″ x 12 1/4″. Weight 5.1 kg.
